The idea behind it
A small, structured surface rewards one confident subject over several small ones. A figure in profile, hair dissolving into a night sky, a gold crescent behind her - it reads instantly at arm's length, which a busier composition would not. Structured bags with a coated or finished surface are checked carefully before anything is painted, because a finish designed to repel water will also repel paint; that assessment happens before a quotation, not after.
