    Share your idea

    Send a sentence, a photograph, a concept from Get Inspired, or all three. If you want your own jacket, saree or bag painted, tell us what it is and roughly what condition it is in.

    Discuss and confirm the direction

    We talk it through: the artwork, where it sits on the item, the colours, the timing and the price. How we show you the direction depends on the project — it might be a written description, a reference discussion, a rough sketch or a layout suggestion. Whichever it is, the final creative direction is confirmed with you before any painting begins.

    Painted by hand with fabric colours, left to dry thoroughly, then heat-set so the artwork bonds with the material. One piece at a time — nothing is printed, nothing is outsourced.

Timing and pricing

Every piece is planned and painted individually, so pricing depends on the item, the complexity of the artwork, the size of the painted area, the level of detail, the materials and any special handling or delivery. Timing depends on the same things, plus the studio schedule at the time. Both are discussed and confirmed with you before the order goes ahead — we would rather give you a real date for your piece than publish a promise that cannot hold for every commission.

Your item or ours

Both work. If you are sending something you already own, photograph it first, including any wear or existing print. Before painting we look the item over for anything that might affect the artwork — delicate fabric, existing wear, an unusual texture — and tell you what we find along with the safest practical approach. Return shipping is normally part of your quotation; for anything unusually large, heavy or fragile, any extra cost is agreed with you first. If you would rather we sourced the item, tell us the size and fit and we will suggest options with prices before anything is bought.

What happens when you send your own item

Care, once it is yours

Each piece is painted with fabric colours, left to dry thoroughly and heat-set so the artwork bonds with the material. For the best long-term care we recommend gentle hand washing in cold or normal water with a mild detergent — no soaking, no bleach, and no scrubbing over the artwork. Air-dry in the shade, and iron inside out or under a cloth. Because fabrics and painted surfaces vary, care guidance suited to your particular item comes with the finished piece.

Common questions

How do I wash a hand-painted piece?
Each piece is painted using fabric colours, allowed to dry thoroughly, and heat-set to help the artwork bond with the fabric. For the best long-term care we recommend gentle hand washing, in cold or normal water, with a mild detergent. Avoid soaking, bleach, harsh scrubbing, or brushing directly over the painted artwork. Air-dry naturally, preferably in the shade. If ironing is needed, turn the garment inside out or place a protective cloth over the painted area. Because fabrics and painted surfaces vary, we will also share care guidance suited to your particular item when your order is completed.
How long does the artwork last?
Hand-painted pieces are prepared and heat-set with durability in mind, but how long an artwork stays at its best depends on the fabric or surface, how often the piece is used, how it is washed, the friction it takes and the care it is given. Following the care guidance provided with your piece will help preserve the artwork for as long as possible.
Can you paint on something I already own?
Yes — you are welcome to send a suitable garment or object for Shreya to paint. Before any painting begins we look the item over for anything that might affect the artwork: delicate fabric, existing wear, an unusual texture, or an area that may not take paint safely. If we notice something, we explain it and suggest the safest practical approach before starting. Every customer-supplied item is handled with great care. Because the condition and behaviour of a pre-owned or customer-provided item can vary, the item remains the owner's responsibility; we will always provide the best possible guidance, care and support throughout the process. Return shipping is normally included in your quotation, and for anything unusually large, heavy, fragile or awkward to package, any additional cost is discussed clearly with you before the order is confirmed.
How much does a commission cost?
Each piece is quoted individually. The quote depends on the item, material, artwork size, level of detail, amount of coverage, any special handling, and whether you provide the item or ask us to source one for you.
Do you deliver across India?
Yes — we currently accept and deliver orders across India. Shipping arrangements and expected delivery details are discussed with you before the order is confirmed, especially for larger, heavier or more delicate items. Pieces are packed once the paint has fully cured, with care guidance included.
Do I see the design before it is painted?
Yes. We will first understand your idea, your preferences, any references you have, and the item being painted. The approval method varies with the project: it may be a written design direction, a reference discussion, a rough sketch, a layout suggestion, or another suitable preview where that helps. Most importantly, the final creative direction is confirmed with you before the actual painting begins.
