Most gift commissions start the same way: someone has a person and a date, and no idea what to give. The answer is usually not an object — it is a moment, a photograph, a place or a phrase, painted onto something the person will keep and use.
Starting without an idea
You do not need a design in mind. Tell us about the person, the occasion and roughly what you want to spend, and we will suggest directions. Most gift commissions are shaped in the conversation rather than specified up front.
What can be painted
Canvases and framed pieces, jackets and shirts, totes and clutches, and keepsake objects. If you are considering something unusual, ask — the answer is often yes, and when it is no we will say so and suggest an alternative.
Occasions
Weddings and anniversaries, birthdays, Navratri and festival gifting, new homes, farewells, and pieces made for no reason at all. Wedding and festival dates book up furthest ahead.
Timing
Hand-painting is the slow part, and a gift with a fixed date has no flexibility in it. Enquire as early as you can. If a date genuinely is not achievable we will tell you rather than rush the work.
